Fandom Is Serious Business: daydreamingaimlessly: fauxkaren: daydreamingaimlessly: I was going to…
I was going to write this awhile back but…I have a huge fucking problem with people defending the way Catelyn Stark treats Jon Snow. I don’t care what your excuses are for her, telling a child that she wishes it was him that…
I don’t give a shit whether you like my post or my opinion or not. I’m not the one trolling around on people’s post when they have a legitimate reason for hating a character who is a child abuser.
Have a nice day.
You tagged it. I track the Catelyn tag. Ergo I saw your post. You put in it a public space, so I’m just confused as to why you are surprised that people are responding to your post.
And really, in the grad scheme of Westeros, Catelyn (who was not loving towards Jon) is like practically at the top of the list when it comes to being a Good Person. So if you hate Cate SOLELY because of her treatment of Jon, I hope you hate almost every other character in the series too other than Brienne, Sansa and Ned (and there are probably a couple of others too). Like this series is FULL of assholes, and Cat’s one flaw is that she never embraced Jon as a son (which is something that she had no societal obligation to do) and that when she was exhausted and sick with grief she said something she wouldn’t have said under normal circumstances.
Yes. Let’s crucify her.
Aw, thanks for calling me adorable.
I’m not confused on anything, I’m confused about why you’re going around on everyone’s post about Catelyn Stark writing a bunch of bullshit. If someone doesn’t like Catelyn is not the end of the fucking world. Catelyn is not at the top of the list of being a good person. Like are you forreal right now? And that’s the thing, you saw one post by me talking about how much people making excuses for Catelyn’s treatment of Jon bothers me and you took that as “I only hate her because of this reason.” Which I never said. Go back and read the post. I never said she had an obligation to treat him or embrace him. Though she damn sure doesn’t have the right to treat him like shit.
Cute tags! But I don’t think I’m the one with the selective reading problem in this scenario.
I don’t think you not liking Catelyn is the end of the world. But your post showed up in the tags so I replied. When you tag something like that, you’ve got to be aware that people are probably going to respond. And since people who track tags are generally fans of the character they are tracking, is it surprising that people didn’t respond to your post in a chorus of agreement?
